“If Christian Workers and Philanthropists will join hands to effect this change it will be accomplished, and the people will rise up and bless them.”
Tutor A Child
Homwork

If you had the chance to make a difference in a child's life, would you?

Many children have had someone change their lives forever. This special person-a parent, a relative or a friend to encourage or inspire them. Someone to accknowledge our potential and achievements and support our efforts. If you are interested in helping a child with reading, math, writing or to be a positive example contact your local corp.

When they say leaders are not born but made, they are undoubtedly talking about people who volunteer. Besides offering an opportunity to express or nurture leadership abilities, volunteering for The Salvation Army helps stretch financial contributions further and quite literally makes possible our many programs and services.

Be a stand-out member of your community by helping The Salvation Army improve the lives of our less fortunate neighbors. You, your family, friends and coworkers can:

Help by serving as an advisory board member
Help during the holiday season
Help by tutoring a child
Help behind the scenes of a food bank

Help support homeless men and women trying

to get back on their feet.
