The Salvation Army Still Busy With Flood Relief |

Flood waters have receded throughout the state, but The Salvation Army continues providing assistance to those affected. While it’s safe to say the January storms weren’t as severe as the December 2007 ones, this round still brought havoc and destruction to many areas.
The Salvation Army is present in all counties affected and will remain so as the long-term recovery process is implemented.
In Pierce County, those seeking assistance can receive more information at the Tacoma and Puyallup Corps. Flood victims in Lewis County can seek assistance at the Centralia Corps for items such as motel vouchers should they qualify. The Salvation Army Everett Corps recently organized and spear-headed a clean-up day in Snohomish County. At least 200 volunteers kept busy on streets from Stanwood to Everett.
Overall, thousands of The Salvation Army clean-up kits were distributed throughout the region and we will assist with the ongoing needs of the flooded communities.
