The Salvation Army Northwest Division is honored to participate in the Fund for the Needy campaign of The Seattle Times. Now in its 35th year, this annual campaign has been a conduit for giving – from the newspaper’s generous readers, to 12 agencies that help children, families, and seniors in Western Washington.

The campaign kicked off with an article in The Seattle Times on Sunday, November 24, 2013. The article featured three local residents who have benefited from the life-changing work of the participating agencies – and now give back, thankful for the help they received.

Anthony Kagochi achieved sobriety at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) in Seattle six years ago. Today, he lives a full life as a husband, father, employee, and student. Grateful for the way The Salvation Army impacted his life, he visits the ARC every week to support the 120 men and women in the program. Read Anthony’s story in The Seattle Times HERE.
