The Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene is buzzing with members who resolved to make fitness a priority in the New Year.

But, now, the Kroc Center also helps develop your brain, in addition to your body. New this year is a full schedule of arts and culture classes for members of all ages and experience. From introductory classes in drawing and painting to hands-on classes in sculpture, Kroc instructors are ready to help you create your masterpiece.

Adult attendees can drop in to any individual class, or sign up for the entire series for weekly lessons in art (registration required for all classes). Three-week classes for kids age five to ten feature one lesson per week and are available with advance registration. For teens (age 11 to 14), our new “Drop In Club” features a variety of art and culture classes, with no advance registration required.

Our curriculum also includes musical and performing arts. Even the smallest of kids can take a “dance” class – with our beginning “movement” classes for toddlers and parents! And, once kids are older, they can enjoy ballet, jazz, and tap on their own.

Pre-teens and teens can explore their creativity with break-dance and hip-hop lessons – a great complement to the weekly freestyle “drop in” class.

This quarter, adults can explore lessons in Hula dancing or ballroom-style dancing, in three- and four-week sessions, respectively. Or, if you have a special request or need some professional guidance, call our program department to schedule a one-on-one dance lesson with our instructor.

Please visit our website - kroccda.org - for a complete list of arts and culture classes offered this quarter at the Kroc Center, and information about membership and class fees.
