You never know what you will find at a Salvation Army Thrift Store. On any day, you might find a sought-after collectable, a fabulous piece of jewelry, a new use for an old item, or something you didn’t know you’d need!

Now, the thrill of discovery is available online! Twelve Salvation Army stores are now posting select items online – so shoppers from around the world can find treasures from the stores.

But, don’t worry – the proceeds from every online sale still go back to the local community where the item was donated. “It’s The Salvation Army policy,” explained Director of Retail David Puszczewicz. “For example, if an item is donated to a store in Spokane, but sold online to a customer in Chicago, the money goes back to Spokane to help fund Salvation Army programs there.”

It’s a win-win situation. Items that may not receive much exposure at a store in a smaller community, can now be viewed and purchased by anyone, anywhere. It means that donations will be sold for the best price, thus sending more money back to the local community. It also means that customers around the world can view items they wouldn’t be able to see unless they lived near the store.

New items are posted to the site daily. Begin your shopping adventure today by clicking HERE.
