The Salvation Army in Lewiston, ID has received two Canadian gold coins worth $1,115 each. The donor, who asked to remain anonymous, considered dropping the coins into a kettle but decided to go directly to The Salvation Army corps/community center. Lewiston is the second location in the eastern Washington and western Idaho areas to receive donations of gold this year. A donor in Spokane recently dropped a 1-ounce gold piece wrapped in a $100 bill into a kettle.
