Thank you to new corporate partner Grocery Outlet in Bellevue, WA. The discount grocery store has been working with The Salvation Army in East King County for several months as a major donor of in-kind items. Grocery Outlet provides food and household items for the food pantry, plus the store provides snacks for the kids in the after-school homework tutoring program. These regular donations have allowed The Salvation Army to save resources by reducing the amount of money usually spent on these items.

Store owner Jessi Powell is a member of The Salvation Army Advisory Council in Bellevue. She and her husband, Greg, also own the Grocery Outlet store in Kent, WA.

This Christmas season, Grocery Outlet in Bellevue has expanded its commitment to The Salvation Army. Now through December 24, shoppers can make a financial donation at the cash register during check out. By selecting a bright red shield with a prescribed donation ($1, $5, $10, or $20), shoppers can easily add the donation to their grocery bill. The store is located at 15625 NE 8th Street, in the Crossroads neighborhood.

Thank you, Jessi and Greg Powell, for your continued support of The Salvation Army. And, thank you Grocery Outlet shoppers!
