The Salvation Army continues to provide aid and support following the 6.1 earthquake near Napa, CA, on Sunday, August 24.

As of today, August 25, Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services has four canteens stationed at various locations in the city of Napa, including the evacuation center (Crosswalk Community Church, 2590 First Street) and two mobile home parks (4421 Solano Avenue and 1040 Orchard Avenue). More than 800 meals were served today during breakfast and lunch, and dinner service is also scheduled at all sites.

Another crew has also been providing meal service in Vallejo. An emergency canteen is currently at Fire Station 21 (1220 Marin Street), where nearly 200 meals have already been delivered to emergency personnel at that site since early Sunday morning. That same team also provided food and beverage for the patients and staff at St. Helena Hospital, which, at one point, was without water.

Monetary donations are needed to help The Salvation Army assist those affected during the short-term and long-term recovery. The Salvation Army uses 100% of disaster donations in support of local disaster relief operations.
