The Salvation Army Fundraiser at Tacoma Rainiers Game
The Salvation Army Tacoma Corps kicks off summer with a fundraiser at the Tacoma Rainiers baseball game on Friday, July 8 at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma. The event will raise funds to help the hungry, homeless and hopeless in Pierce County.
Tickets for the evening's festivities are $20 each and include: a general admission seat at the game, meal voucher valid at concession stands, post-game fireworks, and a donation to The Tacoma Corps. The fun begins at 5pm in the Cheney Field parking lot and continues until after dark:
5pm - Potluck tailgate party in the parking lot, featuring The Salvation Army Canteen
6pm - Gates to Cheney Field open
7pm - Tacoma Rainiers vs Reno Aces
TBD - Post-game fireworks

Before the game, the iconic Salvation Army brass band will perform, and Major Warren Dabis, Commanding Officer of the Tacoma Corps, will throw out the first ceremonial pitch. During the game, attendees can visit The Salvation Army information booth for prizes and to learn more about its programs in Tacoma.
The Salvation Army and the Tacoma Rainiers partner every summer, to raise funds for The Salvation Army's programs in Pierce County. The money raised this year will support the many programs of the Tacoma Corps, including rent/utility/gas assistance, food pantry, clothing, disaster relief services, day care centers, summer camps, holiday assistance, services for the aging, shelters for battered women and children, and substance abuse rehabilitation.
