Christmas Concert to be broadcast on Seattle and Portland TV stations on Christmas Eve

Audiences enjoyed the live performances of The Salvation Army brass band and Breath of Aire choir during the concerts on Sunday, December 15. For anyone who missed the shows – or wants to enjoy them again – the concert will be broadcast on Christmas Eve on television stations in Seattle and Portland. Tune into KCPQ-TV 13 (Seattle) and KRCW-TV 2 (Portland) on Christmas Eve at 11pm (PT) for a special broadcast of the concert.

It’s a concert not to be missed. The 25-member band of The Salvation Army joined forces with 80 vocalists of Breath of Aire choir for an evening of classic carols in the beautiful setting of Seattle's Town Hall. Christian recording artist Barbara Allen joined as special guest vocalist. Ms. Allen has more than 100 stage and screen credits and has recorded three solo albums.  

    

The highly regarded Salvation Army brass band was directed by Matthew Woods. Mr. Woods is a classically trained musician and vocalist. He attended Trinity College of Music in London, and now works as Music Director of The Salvation Army Northwest Division. Brass bands are a long-time tradition in The Salvation Army; this band includes the organization’s top musicians from the Northwest Division.

    

Breath of Aire is a Washington-based choir under the director of Dr. J. Bayard DuBois. With more than 80 members (men and women), the choir performed a cappella and with The Salvation Army brass band during the concert.

Be sure to tune in on Christmas Eve, or set your DVR. Audiences of all ages will enjoy the timeless songs “Joy to the World," "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," and other holiday favorites. The triumphant brass band and exhilarating voices filled the Grand Hall with a memorable performance that is sure to ignite the spirit of the season in everyone.
