January 21, 2013

As the cold temperatures continue throughout Western Washington, The Salvation Army continues its commitment to helping the neediest people in the community. Cold weather shelters, operated by The Salvation Army, are open in many locations. Our homeless neighbors can spend the night indoors, safe from dangerous weather conditions. The Army provides sleeping mats, blankets, and hot coffee. Sometimes, hot soup and movie are also available!

The cold weather shelters are operated by The Salvation Army and will be open as needed throughout the winter, from October through mid April, except the Seattle Center Shelter, which opens only when the weather meets certain conditions.
