Seattle, WA (September 15, 2010)…  The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center of Seattle will host a Grand Opening Celebration for their newest Family Store at 1010 4th Avenue South on Friday, October 15 beginning at 8:45 AM.  Come early to enjoy the grand opening day festivities including free refreshments, local favorite Krispy Kreme doughnuts, entertainment and give-aways.

The newly remodeled 13,000 sq. foot store will carry the wide variety of items for which Salvation Army Family Stores are well-known including furniture, clothing for the whole family, household items, books, electronics and much, much more.

"The Salvation Army is so grateful for the patronage of loyal shoppers who have been finding bargains at our store for years" stated Seattle ARC Administrator, Henry Filoteo.   "With our newly remodeled Family Store in SODO, we welcome back those old friends and encourage new ones to experience the fun and value of shopping the Salvation Army in a thoughtfully re-designed, upscale space which emphasizes the customer’s experience.”  Filoteo continued, "Our full warehouse and distribution center right next door, allows inventory to be updated on a daily basis as well as paying closer attention to the specific needs of our customers".

Whether you are looking for an amazing deal on brand name goods, searching for a rare treasure or antique, or simply looking to purchase great products from a store that helps those in need, The Salvation Army Family Store is the place for you. “Thanks to the loyalty of our customers, we are going a long way to restoring the lives of those suffering from addiction” Filoteo said.  “Your purchases help The Salvation Army recycle goods to recycle lives”.

Proceeds from the new store fund The Salvation Army’s highly effective Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) program in Seattle.   Each center offers residential housing, work therapy, as well as providing group and individual counseling in a clean, wholesome environment. The physical and spiritual care that program participants receive prepares them to re-enter society and return to gainful employment. Many of those who have been rehabilitated are reunited with their families and resume a healthy life.

Come join the celebration on October 15, 2010 … thanks to your purchases, a great deal of lives will be restored.
